What do you think is the future of the Web as seen in the Web 2.0 video?
I think that the future of the web is still developing. What i mean by that is, yes, the internet already has connected millions, we are the web, we make the web. But we humans surprise ourselves all of the time with the new things that we are capable of. The world wide web is still capable of expanding, sharing, and making new things. I'm sure there are millions of people out there with millions more new ideas for the internet. In the next twenty years i am sure we can see the internet expand more than it already has. By me typing this blog right now is just one way that we are connected, just one small way that the internet is sharing a new idea. And to think of how many more bloggers there are, how many more youtubers there are, and news casts etc. The internet is still growing, and will continue to grow for as long as technology is changing, and for as long as the world is changing.

Homework Blog #4
In relation to McLuhan's interview in 1960 compare the similarities to McLuhan's prediction about the Global Village and the CBC newscast of the Internet?
This is all a revolution for us people. As a global village, people around the world are already connected just through the television. But with the internet, millions all around the world log on to the world wide web and can have conversations with millions all around the world. The global village is becoming smaller, we're becoming more connected. Just as the television, the internet is another major stepping stone for the future.
Just like books, and television, there is always someone watching the same channel as you, reading the same book, thinking of the same thing. Just as the internet, there's always someone to talk about the same thing with.

What is the future of the book in the Global Village?
Well, while watching this video Marshall says that books are being replaced by the new media. Television is connecting the world, taking the place of the book. More books are being used and sold, and still important, but their role is changing. When reading a book things happen at once, just like the assembly line making the books. But the assembly lines too are changing, things are happening all at once, instead of one at a time. Just like the media, it's everywhere and happening all the time everyday.

Marshall MchLuhan Aphorisms
What do you think the following aphorism means:
A)"The medium is the message"
B) "Global Village"
Rawr.
So, i've actually only heard of the second aphorism.
But i shall attempt at figuring out what both mean.
A)"The medium is the message"
I think this means that media is the message. We, people, circulate around the media..whether is be watching television, listening to music, the internet, or just the advertisements you see everywhere outside. I think this aphorism is telling us how important technology is. Media and technology tie in together. You couldnt have media without technology, you could not have media, or technology without us. It's all connected one way or another.
b)"Global Village"
I think this symbolizes that the centre of our society is technology; and that we are all connected through it. Technology has made its own 'village' so to speak through us. Technology has a very significant role in our society today, and it is very hard to not notice this change.

FLASH
The flash program was fun to work with, making little animations from buttons to the ripple effects to making a pencil write my name!
Although it is a fun program to work with, remembering little things like where and when to insert a blank/keyframe to where and when to add a motion tween or an action.
There's not much to say to be honest, other than i enjoyed it, and if i would've had more time i would've wanted to learn how to make simple animations more detailed and some way capable of trying to remember when and where to add certain things.
